Traffic Advisory: Temporary Closure of KY 85 Bridge at Hopkins-McClean County Line
Detours required Oct. 15-30 for repairs
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 11, 2024) – Repairs to the KY 85 Pond River bridge at the Hopkins-McClean county line northeast of Madisonville will require a temporary 15-day closure of the bridge this month.
Beginning Oct. 15, contractors will close the KY 85 bridge (near milepoint 7.5) to replace the concrete bridge deck and make other repairs. The bridge is expected to reopen by Oct. 30, depending upon weather.
During the temporary closure, motorists may detour using KY 254, KY 862 or other routes. A signed detour will be posted.
