TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Interstate 65 Southbound Blocked at the 136 MM in Louisville Due to a Crash
Closure is near the Kennedy Bridge, traffic being detoured to I-64 West
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 28, 2024) – All lanes of I-65 Southbound at the 136 mile marker are closed near the southern end of the Kennedy Bridge. The I-65 South to I-64 East/I-71 North ramp is also closed.
Earlier this morning, a CMV overturned and lost its load while traveling on I-65 Southbound. The trailer and debris were spilled onto the roadway and some fell onto the I-64 East/I-71 North ramp below. Crews are on scene cleaning up the debris, and cleanup is estimated to take another hour.
Traffic is being diverted to I-64 West, or drivers may wish to seek an alternate route.
