Resurfacing Project on Ghent Sanders Road (KY 47) in Carroll County to Begin Monday, Sept. 23
Expect single lane closures through the project area
COVINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 18, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a resurfacing project on Ghent Sanders Road (KY 47) in Carroll County beginning Monday, Sept. 23.
Crews will resurface Ghent Sanders Road from KY 2984 (mile point 4.17), to the railroad crossing south of Ghent at mile point 9.05, a distance of 4.88 miles. This project includes leveling/wedging the road and asphalt resurfacing. Once completed, this section of KY 47 will be safer for all road users.
Construction signage will be installed throughout the project limits on Monday, Sept. 23, with milling/paving operations to follow on Tuesday, Sept. 24
Crews will be working between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorists should expect a single lane closure through the project area. Flaggers will be used on both sides of the construction area to guide traffic safely through the work zone.
Motorists should expect delays during working hours, and find an alternate route.
Hinkle Contracting Co. LLC, is contracted to perform the $480,458 project on behalf of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Weather permitting, the project has an expected completion date of June 30, 2025.
