Extended Blockage of Commonwealth Court in Owensboro Planned
Crews to replace box culvert
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (September 11, 2024) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is planning an extended closure of Commonwealth Court on the south side of KY 54 beginning on Monday, September 16.
Crews plan to remove and replace a box culvert located beneath Commonwealth Court at the 3.55 mile point of KY 54, at the entrance to the shopping center. Shoppers can still access the area via Ralph Avenue or from Fairview Drive (KY 3143) via Professional Park Drive, which is located behind the mall.
Work is scheduled to last through the end of October, but be completed well in advance of the start of the holiday shopping season.
