KY 1419 in Wolfe County to be closed Wednesday, Sept. 11
JACKSON, Ky. – Drivers who use KY 1419 (Gillmore Road) in Wolfe County will need to find an alternate route on Wednesday, Sept. 11. The road will be closed at milepoint 4.6 for installation of a drainage pipe. Work will begin at 8 a.m. and should be completed by 4 p.m. This location is beneath the Mountain Parkway overpass.
Once the pipe installation is complete, steel plates will be used to cover the new pipe until the next morning while the concrete sets up. Drivers should slow down and use caution during the overnight hours.
No marked detour will be posted. Drivers can use KY 1812, KY 205, and KY 191 as an alternate route to bypass the closure.
In case of inclement weather, the closure may be postponed until another suitable date.
Fewer than 175 vehicles use this section of KY 1419 each day.
