Update - Blasting Operations Scheduled Adjacent to Interstate 75 in Scott County
Between milepoints 128.5 and 129.1
LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 29, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of potential traffic impacts on I-75 in Scott County due to blasting on property adjacent to the interstate. The blasting is being done by private developers under an approved Transportation Cabinet permit, which requires temporary traffic stoppages for the safety of the traveling public.
Friday, Aug. 30 through Friday, Sept. 13 – 2 p.m. weekdays (time is approximate)
Interstate 75 - North and Southbound
- motorists will be slowed/stopped between milepoints 128.5 - 129.1 (south of Exit 129-Cherry Blossom Way) for intervals of approximately 20 – 30 minutes at a time
All work and/or closures are subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
