Turning Lane Project Begins Next Week On Oak Hill Road and KY 914 In Pulaski County

 

SOMERSET, Ky. (Aug. 28, 2024) A Kentucky Transportation Cabinet project to construct a turn lane along Oak Hill Road (KY 1577) and upgrade the turn lanes on KY 914 is set to begin Tuesday, Sept. 3, in Pulaski County. The project is part of the state’s Highway Safety Improvement Program that aims to boost safety and traffic flow.

The project will involve the addition of a left turn lane on Oak Hill Road at Holly Hill Road (mile point 3.5), as well as the construction of offset left turn lanes on KY 914 onto Oak Hill Road (mile point 3.4). 

During the project, speed limits will be reduced to 45 mph on KY 914.

KYTC asks motorist to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to use safe driving habits when traveling through the area. 

Work is expected to be complete Oct. 31.

The start date and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
