BOONE - KENTON COUNTIES
VARIOUS ROUTES: Overnight traffic impacts during the application of high friction surface treatment in Boone and Kenton counties.

List of locations and associated traffic impacts for each county:
- Kenton County: Buttermilk Pike (KY 371) between Chamber Center Drive and Avon Drive (2.57 – 2.64 mile points). Crews will be on site on Tuesday, Sept. 3 through Thursday, Sept 5. from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic will be maintained in each direction during the application process.

- Left turning lane from AA Highway northbound to KY 159
- Left turning lane from AA Highway southbound to Iler Road
The project also includes reconfiguring striping between the junctions to accommodate new turning lanes, resurfacing, trenching and misc. shoulder work.
These improvements will provide a dedicated turning lane to allow motorists to safely decelerate away from passing vehicular traffic on the AA highway.
During peak travel periods, one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. A single lane closure is possible from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with flaggers on-site to direct traffic around the work zone.
The speed limit on this portion of AA Highway will be reduced to 45 mph until project completion. A law enforcement officer will be on-site during working hours to enforce this reduced speed limit.
