UPDATE: Both Southbound Lanes of I-69 Blocked by Crash in Hopkins County

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (August 27, 2024) The southbound lanes of I-69 in Hopkins County continue to be closed at Exit 108 at Mortons Gap. Traffic is being detoured west on KY 613 to U.S. 41 south to Nortonville. At Nortonville traffic should head east to return to Interstate 69.

Closure to finish cleaning up spilled scrap metal is expected to be completed within the next hour.

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (August 27, 2024) Both southbound lanes of Interstate 69 in Hopkins County are blocked by an overturned commercial vehicle near the 106 mm. This is near the I-69/Western Kentucky Parkway interchange.

Scrap metal and other debris is currently blocking both southbound lanes.

The current duration of the closure is unknown.
