Bridge Replacement Project Scheduled for KY 1760 in Lawrence County
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 21, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of a bridge replacement project on KY 1760 in Lawrence County. The bridge is located at mile point 9.2 near the intersection of Aaron Branch Rd (.35 miles southeast of KY 32).
Crews will remove the existing structure starting Thursday, Aug. 21. Construction on the new, more efficient bridge is scheduled to be completed in late November 2024, weather permitting. Work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5:30 pm with some weekend work possible. Motorists can expect delays during working hours for mobilization of equipment in and around the site. All motorists will need to detour using KY 32 to US 23 for the project's duration. Please pay close attention to signs and traffic control in and around the work zone.
Walker Construction has been contracted to perform the work.
