Lane Restrictions on Pennyrile Parkway SB at Mannington
Reduced speed, one lane traffic and reduced lane width expected through Oct. 9
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (August 9, 2024) – From today, Friday, August 9, 2024, through October 9, 2024, there will be lane restrictions on just under one mile of the Pennyrile Parkway in southern Hopkins County near Mannington as the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet continues to work on upgrading the existing parkway to interstate standards.
The southbound lanes of the Pennyrile Parkway will be restricted to one lane with a 12 foot maximum width and 16 foot maximum height from the 30.2 to 29.5 mile points, or from the Mannington off ramp to just passed the northbound on ramp overpass.
There will also be a 55 mph speed limit in place through this area.
Motorists are recommended to detour via I-69 southbound to I-24 eastbound, or by following U.S. 41.
