Closure scheduled for
Elizabeth Station Road/KY 1876 in Bourbon County
New bridge construction planned
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 26, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled closure for Elizabeth Station Road/KY 1876. The closure is necessary for new bridge construction to begin on KY 1876 near the intersection with US 460.
Monday, July 29 through Monday, October 28 – the road will close at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 29, and remain closed until Monday, October 28, at 4 p.m.
Elizabeth Station Road/KY 1876
- a closure will be in effect at milepoint 1.8
- the new bridge will be constructed on KY 1876 near the intersection with US 460
- the existing bridge will be removed to make space for a newly constructed bridge
- motorists will need to utilize the detour that is in place

- Hume Bedford Road/KY 1939 to US 68
All work/closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
