Work Begins on KY 81 Bridge in McLean County
Project expected to be completed in 90 days
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (July 22, 2024) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has begun a project to replace a bridge located at the 6.83 mile point of KY 81 in McLean County. Traffic is reduced to one-lane for the duration of the project.
Traffic signals have been set up at each end of the bridge to allow single lane traffic to continue as work gets under way. The bridge will be replaced one span at a time, with an expected completion date at the end of October.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
