KSP to Close a Portion of I-69 Northbound Near Slaughters on Thursday
Closure scheduled from 9 - 11 a.m.
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (July 17, 2024) – The Kentucky State Police plan to close both northbound lanes of Interstate 69 at Slaughters on Thursday morning to complete a crash reconstruction they were unable to conclude due to weather.
Heavy rainfall in the early morning hours prevented KSP from completing their investigation of a crash on Wednesday. They now plan to close both northbound lanes from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday to complete that work.
Northbound traffic can detour around the closure by taking Exit 125 to KY 138, then following KY 138 one mile west to U.S. 41. The nearest onramp to return to the interstate is on KY 56, about 18 miles away near Sebree.
