UPDATE: KY 272 (Caledonia Rd) To Remain Closed at 5.5mm in Trigg County Through Friday
Sinkhole repair to require more extensive effort
PADUCAH, Ky. (July 10, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has extended a closure of KY 272 (Caledonia Road) in Trigg County through Friday, July 12.
The Trigg County Highway Maintenance Crew had to close KY 272 at the 5.5 mile point where a sinkhole extended under the roadway. The closure is along KY 272 between Cliffwood Drive and Glenwood Mill Road.
Due to the extent of repairs required at the site, the roadway will remain closed through Friday - possibly longer.
There is no marked detour. However, motorists may self-detour around this closure via KY 1585 (Montgomery Road) to U.S. 68, or via KY 1253 (Hardy Road), KY 525 (New Hope Road), and KY 139 (South Road).
