Daytime single lane closures expected in project area

COVINGTON, Ky. (July 3, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 6 Office announces a resurfacing project on a portion of U.S. 27 in Pendleton County will begin on Monday, July 8.

The project is on U.S. 27 from just north of KY 3162 (17.70 mile point) extending north to the Pendleton/Campbell County line (19.34 mile point), a distance of 1.64 miles.

The contractor will perform milling/paving operations between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorists should expect single lane closures during these daytime working hours. Flaggers will be in place to guide traffic safely through the work zone.

Please drive carefully through the project area. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route to avoid potential delays.

The project is being done by Mago Construction Co., under a $470,897.43 low-bid Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contract. Weather permitting, the project has an expected completion date of Nov. 15, 2024.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
