KY 1282 Reopened West of Brownsville Community in Fulton County
Downed trees and other debris removed from roadway
PADUCAH, Ky. (July 2, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has reopened a section of KY 1282 West of the Brownsville community in Fulton County.
KY 1282 has been closed since late March when high winds brought down a mass of trees near the 6 mile marker in the Wilson Hill area immediately west of the KY 925 intersection.
A specialized tree-cutting crew had to be called in to clear the tangle of limbs and trees left hanging over the roadway by the storm. The specialized contractor had been tied up with work removing debris from several other areas hit by tornados across Kentucky in recent months.
While they are in the area, the crew will be working at some other locations to remove storm debris along roadways.
KY 1282 is now open to normal traffic flow near the 6 mile marker at Wilson Hill in Fulton County.
