Pavement repair work to take about three days to complete
PADUCAH, Ky. (June 1, 2024) – A contractor for the City of Clinton plans an extended closure of KY 1731 (Waterfield Drive) in Clinton for concrete pavement repair work. The project originally expected to start today is now expected to start Monday, July 8, 2024.
The contractor plans to close KY 1731 (Waterfield Drive) between KY 123 (East Clay Street) and KY 1745 (James Phillips Drive). This section of KY 1731 includes intersections with East North Street and McMorris Street.
This section of KY 1731 (Waterfield Drive) is expected to close promptly at 7 a.m., CDT, on Monday, July 8. It is expected to remain closed until about 3 p.m., on Wednesday, July 10.
The contractor will be pouring concrete along an area where the City of Clinton has had a number of excavations for water line repairs in recent months. The excavations have been allowed to settle before scheduling this permanent repair effort.
The City of Clinton and KYTC District 1 will attempt to provide timely notice should the work be completed substantially earlier than anticipated.
