Crash Blocking I-169 NB in Daviess County
Duration expected to be 6-10 hours. Detour via US 231 recommended
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (June 27, 2024) – Northbound Interstate 165 near the 69.5 mile point in Daviess County is closed following a crash involving a commercial vehicle hauling molten aluminum. Both northbound lanes and the southbound fast lane are all closed.
The crash happened at the Fairview Drive overpass.
This is expected to be a lengthy closure due to the nature of the materials being handled. Kentucky State Police have estimated at least 6 to 10 hours before the roadway can reopen. Motorists traveling northbound from Ohio to Daviess County are advised to begin immediately detouring via KY 231.
