Traffic Advisory: KY 1 One Lane at Argillite in Greenup County
Construction for school safety project
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (June 21, 2024) – Ongoing work for a highway safety improvement project at Argillite Elementary School in Greenup County will require temporary one-lane traffic on KY 1 for the next two months.
Beginning Monday, June 24, contractors will reduce KY 1 to one lane between Argillite Elementary and Creston Lane (milepoint 12.9). All traffic will be controlled by temporary signals, night and day, for about eight weeks.
Road work schedules may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
