COVINGTON, Ky. (June 20, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 6 Office announces two resurfacing projects on Shofstall Road/Asbury Road (KY 875) in Bracken County will begin on Monday, June 24.

The first project is on Shofstall Road from Augusta-Berling N Road (CR 1006) (14.81 mile point) extending west to Wellsburg Walcott Road (KY 1159) (17.25 mile point), a distance of 2.44 miles.

The second project is on Asbury Road from the Dutch Ridge Road (KY 2370) Junction (9.25 mile point) extending north to KY 19 (11.51 mile point), a distance of 2.26 miles.

Contractors will start on the Asbury Road section on Monday, June 24. Once work is complete, they will move to the Shofstall Road portion.

The contractor will be on-site between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorists should expect single lane closures during these daytime working hours. Flaggers will be in place to guide traffic safely through the work zone.

Please drive carefully through the project area. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route to avoid potential delays. KYTC will provide project updates via our District 6 roadshow.

This project also includes resurfacing a portion of Lennoxburg Foster Road (KY 1019) from Apple Ridge Road (4.80 mile point) extending north to Mary Ingles Highway W (KY 8) (5.21 mile point). This work has not been scheduled yet. Once the contractor has provided a start date, further details about the project will be added on our District 6 roadshow.

The project is being done by Mago Construction Co., under a $403,762.87 low-bid Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contract. The project has an expected completion date of Nov. 30, 2024.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
