Bridge Replacement Project scheduled for KY 1441 Raccoon Creek of Pike County 

Onsite Diversion construction begins June 4

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (June 3, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of a bridge replacement project on KY 1441 in Pike County. The bridge is located at mile point 6.5 (.05 miles South of KY 3418) on Raccoon Creek.

Crews will begin constructing an onsite diversion beside the current bridge starting Tuesday, June 4. Once the diversion is complete, traffic will be diverted off the bridge and onto the diversion. Crews will then begin construction of a new bridge. Work will take place Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm with some weekend work possible. Motorists can expect delays during working hours for mobilization of equipment in and around the site. Please pay close attention to signs and traffic control in and around the work zone.

Fredrick and May have been contracted to perform the work. Crews expect the project to take 10-12 weeks to complete.
