Intersection Project Begins at KY 251 and KY 434 in Hardin County
Short delays are possible as flaggers direct traffic along intersection approaches
ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (May 31, 2024) – A project to increase safety and traffic efficiency at the intersection of KY 251 (Shepherdsville Road) and KY 434 (Battle Training Road) in Hardin County is beginning. Roundabout construction will allow safer traffic flow for the nearly 10,000 combined vehicles per day using these two routes.
Preliminary work is underway along right of way at the intersection. Motorists on all four approaches and at adjacent business entrances should be alert for flaggers directing traffic. Short delays will be possible.
As work progresses with the build of each intersection quadrant, there will be traffic shifts. Additional updates of these traffic impacts will be provided as dates are determined.
The roundabout project is scheduled for completion by November 1st.
