Resurfacing Project on KY 617 (Piqua Kentontown Road) in Robertson County Beginning Today, May 24
Daytime single lane closures expected within the project limits
COVINGTON, Ky. (May 24, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 6 Office announces a resurfacing project on KY 617 (Piqua Kentontown Road) in Robertson County will begin Today, May 24.
Crews will be working on KY 617 from KY 1476 (Thomas Pike) (1.50 mile point) extending eastwardly to KY 165 (Blue Lick Pike) (5.36 mile point), a distance of 3.86 miles.
Contractors will perform milling operations Today, May 24, with paving to follow beginning on Tuesday, May 28.
The contractor will be on-site between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Motorists should expect single lane closures during these daytime working hours. Flaggers will be in place to guide traffic safely through the work zone.
Please drive carefully through the project area. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route to avoid potential delays.
The project is being done by H G Mays Corporation under a $298,661 low-bid Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contract. Weather permitting, the project has an expected completion date of June 30, 2024.
