Project to begin for Stamping Ground Road/KY 227 in Scott County
Highway Safety Improvement Project
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 19, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a project to begin for Stamping Ground Road/KY 227 in Scott County. The work is a Highway Safety Improvement Project. The HSIP program is designed to provide safety upgrades for roadways. The project includes clearing brush/vegetation for improved sight distance and resurfacing.
Monday, May 20 through Thursday, October 31 – 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays (Mondays through Fridays)
Stamping Ground Road/KY 227
Section 1:
- alternating lane closures will be in effect
- motorists will be able to pass through the work zone
- the work zone is between the intersection with US 460 (milepoint 0.000) extending north to the intersection with Sebree Road (milepoint 5.874) for a distance of 05.87 miles
Section 2:
- alternating lane closures will be in effect
- motorists will be able to pass through the work zone
- the work zone is between US 460 (milepoint 0.000) extending north to 1,070 feet south of Duvall Station Road (milepoint 2.980) for a distance of 02.98 miles
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
