Goose Creek Road in Lee County to be closed Monday, May 13
JACKSON, Ky. – As part of the project to replace the bridge on Goose Creek Road crossing the CSX Transportation railroad line in Lee County, Goose Creek Road will be closed Monday, May 13.
The intersection of Goose Creek Road and Grassy Creek Road will be blocked so beams can be placed for the new bridge. The closure will begin at 8 a.m. and will be completed by 4 p.m. Residents of the area have been notified of the closure in person.
Traffic on KY 52 will not be affected. KY 52 has been reduced to one lane, controlled by temporary signals, since the project began in early April.
The project is located at the intersection of KY 52 and Goose Creek Road between Tallega and Athol.
The new bridge is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 1.
