Traffic Advisory: KY 1087 Closed Wednesday and Thursday in Knott County for Repairs
Detour 8-6 each day
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (April 29, 2024) – Embankment repairs will require temporary daytime closures of KY 1087 near Mousie in Knott County this week.
Beginning Wednesday, May 1, and continuing Thursday, May 2, crews will close KY 1087 between Tara Lane and Musical Loop (mile marker 20), about a half mile from the KY 550 intersection, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day for crews to install steel T-rail to support the road and embankment.
School buses and emergency vehicles will be accommodated. All other traffic should detour using KY 1098 and KY 550.
Road work schedules may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
