Lane closure, width restrictions begin May 1 on Mountain Parkway in Powell County

JACKSON, Ky. Beginning Wednesday, May 1, a lane closure and width restriction will be in place on the eastbound carriageway along the Mountain Parkway in Powell County for a bridge repair project.

Traffic will be restricted to one 12-foot lane at milepoint 18.25, at the bridge crossing the Red River. This is just west of Exit 18 (KY 1057/Clay City.)

Loads wider than 12 feet will need to use an alternate route. No wide-load detour will be posted, but drivers of oversize vehicles can exit the Mountain Parkway at Exit 16 (KY 15/KY 82) and follow KY 15 to Stanton, where they can turn south onto KY 213 and re-enter the parkway at Exit 22.

The lane closure and width restriction will be in place for 30 days.
