PADUCAH, Ky. (April 23, 2024) – Trigg County 911Dispatch reports U.S. 68 in Western Trigg County is blocked near the 4 mile marker in Land Between the Lakes where a tanker truck has overturned.
All lanes are U.S. 68 are reported blocked at this time between the Woodland Trace and the Cumberland River/Lake Barkley Bridge at Canton.
The truck is hauling alcohol and will have to be offloaded before it can be removed.
Estimated duration is 4 hours or approximately 11 p.m., CDT.
There is no practical detour for this section of U.S. 68 in Land Between the Lakes. Motorists traveling between Cadiz and Murray or Benton should self-detour via Interstate 24.
