EXTENDED:Daytime Closure for Embankment Repairs on KY 1697 in Knott County
Repairs extended through Friday, May 3
KNOTT COUNTY (Apr. 22, 2024) The Kentucky Department of Transportation (KYTC) advises the public of a daytime closure for embankment repairs on KY 1697 Spruce Pine Rd in Knott County. The project is located at MP 1.5 through MP 3.1 (1.0 miles North of KY 899)
Hinkle Environmental Services will extended the current closure through Friday, May. 3, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. During this time, crews will repair multiple embankment sites. This closure is necessary due to the narrow road width and size of equipment used for the repairs.
Motorists will need to seek alternative routes during working hours. School buses and Emergency traffic will be accommodated. Please pay close attention to equipment and crews in the work zone and watch for signage.
