Resurfacing Project on KY 465 (Boone Road) in Gallatin County Begins Today, April 16
Contractors began milling operations this morning
COVINGTON, Ky. (April 16, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 6 Office announces a resurfacing project on KY 465 (Boone Road) in Gallatin County started this morning, April 16.
Crews will be working on two sections of KY 465:
- From KY 1039 (1.82 mile point) extending eastwardly to Concrete Plant Lane (2.79 mile point), a distance of 0.97 miles.
- From William Jump Road (5.15 mile point) extending to KY 455 (Johnson Hill Road) (7.19 mile point), a distance of 2.05 miles.
Contractors began milling this morning. Paving operations will begin shortly after milling is complete. Motorists should expect single lane closures during daytime working hours. Flaggers will be in place to guide traffic safely through the work zone. All work will be performed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Please drive carefully through the project area. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route to avoid potential delays.
The $290,183.43 project was awarded to Mago Construction Company, LLC, of Bardstown, KY. Weather permitting, the project has an expected completion date of June 30, 2024.
