Traffic Advisory: KY 559 and Stockyards Road Changing to Three-Way Stop at Flemingsburg
New signs coming to KY 559 and KY 2508 intersection
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (April 9, 2024) – A three-way stop condition is coming soon to the intersection of KY 559 and KY 2508 (Stockyards Road) at Flemingsburg in Fleming County.
Within the week, two new stop signs and stop bars will be placed facing each direction on KY 559 at Stockyards Road making the intersection a three-way stop. Currently, traffic is only stopped at the end of Stockyards Road. There is also a crosswalk that will remain in the middle of the new three-way stop.
The change is being made to increase highway safety.
The new signs will be marked with additional warning flags. However, motorists that travel through the area are advised to use caution until everyone is familiar with the new stop conditions.
