Closures scheduled for Military Pike/KY 1966 in Fayette County
Tree removal from overhanging power lines by Kentucky Utilities
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 4, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled closures for Military Pike/KY 1966 in Fayette County. The temporary closures are necessary for tree removal work from overhanging power lines. Operations will be performed by Kentucky Utilities.
Military Pike/KY 1966
Tuesday, April 9 – 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
- one lane will be closed at milepoint 1.2 for preliminary work
Wednesday, April 10 – 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
- a closure will be in effect at Fort Springs Pinkard and James Lane
- the closure is necessary to allow space for a crane to remove wood from the overhanging power lines and roadway
All work/closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
