TRAFFIC ALERT: Southbound Lanes Blocked on KY 9 (AA Highway) in Campbell County at Mile Point 13.2

Crash on KY 9 east of U.S. 27 (Alexandria Pike) interchange has blocked all southbound lanes

COVINGTON, Ky. (April 2, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of all southbound lanes being blocked in Campbell County on KY 9 (AA Highway) due to a crash.

The crash is on KY 9 at the 13.2 mile point, east of the U.S. 27 (Alexandria Pike) exit. The crash blocked all lanes in both directions temporarily; however, the northbound lanes reopened at around 2 p.m. 

The southbound lanes are expected to be blocked for several hours. Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route, and to avoid the area, if possible.

DETOUR: KY 9 to U.S. 27 (Alexandria Pike) to KY 547 (Four Mile Road), to KY 9. 

Any questions related to the crash should be directed toward local law enforcement handling the crash investigation. KYTC will advise on social media when the crash has been cleared.
