Between Leestown Road/US 421 and Georgetown Road/US 25

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 28, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this news release serves as an update. Periodic updates are sent to media outlets for the current New Circle Road/KY 4 Widening project. The design includes improvements between Leestown Road/US 421 and Georgetown Road/US 25.

The plan for the Leestown Interchange will be a Double Crossover Diamond design. The design is similar to the current Harrodsburg Road/US 68 interchange. The Harrodsburg Road/US 68 DCD (opened in 2011) continues to be effective with reducing crashes.

Project limits: Leestown Road/US 421 (milepoint 7.2) to Georgetown Road/US 25 (milepoint 8.7)
