I-24 Eastbound Work Zone Lane Restriction near 36mm in Lyon County Starts Wednesday, March 20
Drainage work to take about 3 days to complete
PADUCAH, Ky. (March 19, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an eastbound work zone lane restriction along Interstate 24 in Lyon County starting Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
This work zone lane restriction for eastbound traffic on I-24 runs from the 36.5 mile marker to the 38 mile marker. This is along I-24 between the Weigh Station and the U.S. 62 Eddyville-Kuttawa Exit 40 Interchange.
Eastbound motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the 36 mile marker. All eastbound traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone.
The Lyon County Highway Maintenance Crew will be doing some drainage work along the shoulder behind guardrail in this area. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
This eastbound I-24 work zone will remain up around the clock and is expected to be active each day through Friday, March 22.
There should be no impact to westbound traffic.
