Travel Advisory: KY 36 Remains Closed Following Severe Weather Event on Thursday, March 14
UPDATE: Road expected to reopen at midnight
COVINGTON, Ky. (March 15, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of traffic impacts following a weather event yesterday afternoon.
Current Traffic Impacts:
- Carroll Co.: KY 36 – 0 to 5 mile markers: KY 36 between Milton (Trimble County) and U.S. 42 in Prestonville remains CLOSED due to downed trees and power lines. Crews have made progress on clearing debris from the roadway and utility contractors are still working on restoring the power grid at this time. Officials have set a tentative timeline for reopening KY 36 at midnight (Friday night into Saturday morning). We will provide updates if that timeline is changed.
Seek an alternate route.
