ROADSHOW Week of March 17, 2024
Here, you'll find all of the NEW projects, maintenance, and other work taking place in our 11 county district:
Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Kenton, Owen, Pendleton, and Robertson Counties

I-275 DIAMOND GRINDING UPDATE (CAMPBELL/KENTON COUNTY LINE TO U.S. 25 OVERPASS)
I-275 Eastbound
Sunday, March 17 through Thursday, March 21: right lane(s) closure will be in place for crews to remove pavement markers, patch concrete and diamond grinding.
I-275 Westbound
(Tentative) Wednesday, March 20 - Thursday, March 21: left lane(s) closure for drain cleaning. These dates are tentative, and may be changed. We will provide updates on social media if any changes occur.
NOTE: Nightly lane closures are permitted with this project: a single lane closure at 8 p.m., expanding to a double lane closure beginning at 10 p.m. All lanes must be reopened by 6 a.m.
These dates/times are weather permitting. KYTC will advise if any delays are incurred due to inclement weather. Further information regarding this construction project can be located in the Kenton County section of the Roadshow.
I-275 RESURFACING UPDATE (HEBRON TO MINEOLA PIKE)
I-275 Westbound
Traffic has been reduced to the two right lanes from the Boone/Kenton County line to west of KY 212 (Airport Access Road). This lane configuration will be in place until June. The two left lanes will be closed 24/7 to allow crews space to perform full-depth patching.
Monday, March 18 through Saturday, March 23: the area listed above may be reduced to one lane from the hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. as crews work to complete partial-depth patching in this portion of the project.
I-275 Eastbound
Friday, March 15 through Saturday, March 23: Crews will be working on I-275 eastbound throughout the project area sawing/sealing joints from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Expect a single lane closure at 8:30 p.m., and a double lane closure at 9 p.m.
Monday, March 18 through Saturday, March 23: Crews will work on I-275 eastbound throughout the project area ditching/shouldering from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This work will require a single lane closure

CAMPBELL COUNTY:

I-471 Northbound/Southbound – 0.75 – 4.78 mile point – KYTC maintenance crews will return to a median brush clearing safety improvement project on I-471 beginning Monday, March 18. This work was previously postponed due to inclement winter weather. Crews will be working between U.S. 27 (Alexandria Pike) and the approach to the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge. Crews will close the left lane of both I-471 northbound and southbound in the project area during the working hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m, Monday through Friday. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Weather permitting, crews expect the project to be completed by Friday, March 29

KY 547 (Four Mile Road) – 6.12 – 6.27 mile point – A guardrail repair project on KY 547 from Misty Ridge Farm extending north to south of Uhl Road will begin on Monday, March 11. A single lane closure will be in place during daytime working hours with flaggers on-site to direct motorists around the work zone. Weather permitting, the project has a completion date of Friday, March 15.
- The scheduled work for this week was canceled. We will provide an updated schedule once we receive one.
KENTON COUNTY:

KY 3716 (Taylor Mill Road) – 3.67 – 3.72 mile point – A guardrail repair project on KY 3716 near Sharon Drive will begin on Monday, March 11. A single lane closure will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with flaggers on-site to direct motorists around the work zone. Weather permitting, the project has a completion date of Friday, March 15.

U.S. 25 (Dixie Hwy./Pike Street) – 11.8 – 12.2 mile points – A slide repair project on U.S. 25 northbound (toward Covington) is now complete.
OWEN COUNTY:

U.S. 127 (Main Street) – 13.83 – 14.30 mile points – A resurfacing project on U.S. 127 beginning north of KY 22 extending north to KY 1287 (E Adair Street) will begin on Tuesday, March 19. Contractors will begin replacing sidewalk ramps then begin paving operations. Base failure repairs will take place at the end of March. After those repairs have had enough time to set, crews will begin milling and paving in the project area.
This work will require a single lane closure. Flaggers will be in place to guide traffic safely through the work zone. Sidewalk and base failure repairs will be performed during the day between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Night work is also permitted with this project to mitigate traffic impacts as much as possible. This project has a completion date of June 30, 2024.
