Motorists advised to avoid area and seek alternate route
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 1, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the emergency closure of the George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge, locally known as the Second Street Bridge, in Jefferson County.
The Clark Memorial Bridge, which carries U.S. 31 over the Ohio River between Louisville, Ky., and Jeffersonville, Ind., is closed in both directions due to a crash involving a semi. Local law enforcement agencies are on-site. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
