Public Meeting Scheduled to Discuss Preferred Alternative to Reconstruct U.S. 421 from the Kentucky/Virginia State Line
MANCHESTER, Ky. (Jan. 12, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has scheduled a public information meeting to present the preferred alternative to reconstruct U.S. 421 from the Kentucky/Virginia State line, extending north to approximately the 1.5-mile marker in Harlan County. This project is listed in the 2022 Enacted Highway Plan as Item No. 11-269.11.
- The meeting will be held at the following time and location:
- When: Thursday January 25, 2024, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Where: Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College – Harlan Campus
- 164 Ball Park Road
- Harlan, KY 40831
The purpose of this meeting is to present the preferred alternative for review and to ask for feedback from attendees regarding the project. KYTC will have representatives available to answer questions concerning the proposed design, right of way acquisition process and project schedule.
Comment forms will be provided, and they may be returned before the meeting ends or for a period of two weeks after the meeting. This meeting will be conducted in an open format with no formal presentation, meaning that you may attend at any point during the time indicated above.
