Contract crews to repair temporary asphalt pavement within project limits
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 12, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the immediate closure of the right lane on Interstate 65 South in Bullitt County today, January 12.
The right lane near mile marker 105 (just before KY 61) will remain closed through 9 p.m. tonight, January 12, as contract crews work to repair the temporary asphalt pavement as part of the ongoing I-65 roadway rehabilitation project.
Additionally, a full closure of I-65 South will occur following the duration of the right lane closure. All lanes of I-65 South will be closed from mile marker 105 to mile marker 103 beginning Friday, January 12, at 9 p.m., through Saturday, January 13, at 3 a.m. Motorists are advised to detour by taking Exit 105/Lebanon Junction to KY 61 then proceed to KY 434 to KY 313 to rejoin I-65 South.
Drivers should heed signage, use caution, expect travel delays, and seek an alternate route.
