Public meeting scheduled to discuss proposed improvements to US 460 in Menifee and Morgan counties

JACKSON, Ky.  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has scheduled a public meeting to discuss potential improvements to US 460 east of Frenchburg. The meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Botts Early Learning Center (formerly Botts Elementary School) at 6882 U.S. 460 East, Denniston. The meeting will be an open house format with no formal presentation scheduled.

A project is under development to improve a section of US 460 between the recently reconstructed segments extending from milepoint 15.2 in Menifee County to milepoint 0.7 in Morgan County.. The project would address geometric deficiencies and improve safety and mobility in this portion of the US 460 corridor that links Frenchburg with West Liberty.

The project is in the preliminary design phase. Right of way acquisition and construction have not yet been scheduled.

KYTC is seeking public input on the project. Representatives from KYTC and its design consultant will be on hand to provide information about the project and answer questions.

Disabled persons who wish to attend the meeting and need special accommodations should contact the project manager, Min Jiang, at the KYTC District 10 office in Jackson at (606) 666-8841 to request assistance.
