TRAFFIC ALERT: I-71 Southbound closed in Carroll County at 43 Mile Marker
Closure expected for four hours
COVINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 10, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of a highway closure in Carroll County due to a crash.
The crash took place just after 11 a.m. on I-71 southbound in Henry County near the 34 mile marker. Traffic is being re-routed off I-71 southbound in Carroll County at the English/Prestonville exit (exit 43).
DETOUR: I-71 southbound to KY 389 (English/Prestonville exit), to U.S. 42 through Bedford, to KY 153 (Pendleton Road), and back on I-71 southbound at the 28 mile marker.
The closure on I-71 southbound is expected to be in place for the next four hours. Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route, and to avoid the area, if possible.
