Crews will set beams on Thursday, Jan. 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
KNOTT COUNTY (Jan. 2, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of a daytime closure on KY 3392 Lower Mill Creek in Knott County for bridge construction. The bridge is located on Truman Slone Drive at mile point 2.0 (2.0 miles North of KY 550).
Crews will set beams beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4. A crane will be set up on KY 3392, where trucks will mobilize the beams to the site and utilize the crane to set them in place. During this time, KY 3392 will be impassable to all traffic. These impacts are necessary due to the size of the equipment and the room needed for crews to work safely in the work zone. Motorists will need to plan for the delay and seek alternate routes during this time. Crews expect the road to reopen at approximately 2 p.m.
