Rolling roadblocks and intermittent lane closures to be expected
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Dec. 21, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the traffic shift and lane closures on Interstate 64 East in Franklin County tonight, December 21.
Contract crews will move traffic control devices to shift eastbound traffic on I-64 near mile marker 51 (at the bridge over Cardwell Lane) from the inside lanes to the outside lanes, tonight, December 21, at 7 p.m., through Friday, December 22, at 7 a.m. Motorists should expect rolling roadblocks and lane closures to accommodate the traffic shift.
This work is part of the $30,244,420.60 million I-64 bridge replacement project, replacing four sets of overpass bridges in Franklin County: https://transportation.ky.gov/DistrictFive/Pages/Franklin-County-I64-Bridge-Replacement-Project-.aspx
