Bridge Maintenance Project on KY 8 (Fourth Street) Bridge Scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 6
Traffic reduced to one lane in each direction from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
COVINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 1, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 6 Office announces a bridge maintenance project on the KY 8 (Fourth Street) bridge (7.61 mile point) over the Licking River on the Kenton and Campbell County line on Wednesday, Dec. 6.
The District 6 structures crew will be on site from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. performing maintenance operations.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Garrard Street in Covington to the roundabout in Newport. Westbound traffic will be shifted to the right lane and eastbound will be shifted to the center lane. Access to the pedestrian sidewalks on both sides of the bridge will be maintained.
Motorists should watch for crews, lane closures and equipment in the work zone.
