Crews to repair bridge approaches
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 29, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the overnight ramp and lane closures on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) and Interstate 65 beginning Saturday, December 2, in Jefferson County.
Crews will be repairing the bridge approaches on I-265 West, requiring overnight ramp and lane closures. During the below closures, the left lane of I-265 West between mile marker 10 and mile marker 10.5 will remain open.
- I-265 West to I-65 South (Exit 10-B) ramp
- I-65 North to I-265 West (Exit 125-B) ramp

- Saturday, December 2, at 8 p.m., to Sunday, December 3, at 5 a.m.
- Sunday, December 3, at 8 p.m., to Monday, December 4, at 5 a.m.
- Monday, December 4, at 8 p.m., to Tuesday, December 5, at 5 a.m.
Upon completion of the right lane/ramp repairs, crews will switch traffic control to repair the other bridge approach, requiring overnight closures of the left lane. During this closure, the right lane of I-265 West between mile marker 10 and mile marker 10.5 will remain open, as well as the I-265 West to I-65 South ramp and I-65 North to I-265 West ramp.

- Wednesday, December 6, at 8 p.m., to Thursday, December 7, at 5 a.m.

Motorists should use heed signage, adjust for increased travel times, and seek alternate routes by using navigation apps like Waze.
