Contract crews to replace expansion joints on bridges
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 9, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of lane closures on Interstate 71 North and South beginning tomorrow, November 10, in Jefferson County.
The left lanes on both I-71 North and South near mile marker 6.2 on the bridges over U.S. 42 (Brownsboro Road) will be closed beginning Friday, November 10, at 8 p.m., through Monday, November 13, at 5 a.m. Contract crews will work to replace the expansion joints on the bridges during the closures.
Motorists should adjust commute times, heed signage, and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
