Closure necessary due to undermining of the culvert
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 6, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the indefinite closure of the northbound lane on KY 202 (Drennon Road) in Henry County.
The northbound lane on KY 202 at mile marker 5.052 on the culvert between Bullitt Hill Road and New Cut Road will be closed indefinitely beginning tomorrow, November 7. The closure follows a recent underwater inspection that identified undermining of the culvert on the northbound side. Further assessments will take place as plans for repairs are developed.
Southbound traffic will not be affected, though width restrictions will be in place. Northbound traffic should detour on Bullitt Hill Road to KY 1360 then head southbound to KY 202.
Signs notifying drivers of the closure have been placed in the area. Motorists should heed restrictions or seek an alternate route.
