Lane Closures and Delays Scheduled for Median Repairs in Pike County along US 23

Repairs begin Tuesday, Oct. 17 from Fords Branch to Foggy Mountain

PIKE COUNTY (Oct. 16, 2023) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of lane closures and traffic pattern changes along US 23 in Pike County for median repairs. The work zone begins at mile point 18.4 near Fords Branch and extends through 16.0 near the base of Foggy Mountain (.7 miles South of KY 3174).

Crews will perform median and drainage box repairs starting Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 9 a.m. Repairs will last approximately one to two weeks. During this time, the inner North and Southbound lanes of US 23 will be closed. These traffic impacts are necessary to allow crews room to work safely along the median.

Motorists should plan for congestion in the area. Visibility may be limited when crews begin concrete repairs due to dust.  Please slow down and watch for signage.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
